Senior Love!

For beautiful eyes,
look for the good in others;
for beautiful lips,
speak only words of kindness;
and for poise,
walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

Happy Birthday Roo!

Little “pocket sized” Kristopher
has been a part of my Bundle of Joy package this past year,
and he most definitely lives up to its name.
I have so loved watching him grow,
and can’t wait to see all the Go Big Reds in his future!

All of my Bundle of Joy participants receive an album at the
end of their first year with a few highlights  from each of our sessions.
Here’s a peek at Kristopher’s year!

Lincoln Symphony Orchestra

jamesannphotographysymphony07I am sure I have said it in just about every post,
but I mean it,
what I love MOST about my photography is the people.
I have had the opportunity to meet
some pretty inspiring, talented, and just simply amazing individuals.

Another one of my favorite parts is the community.
I have been taking photos with Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra  for about a year now.
During the intermissions of their shows we set up a photo booth
and create fun photos for people to take home with them.
2016-01-23_205655This past week, on top of getting to take some photobooth photos
the staff of the office came to the studio for headshots.
And, Oh. My. Goodness.
What a fun group of people, their presence was filled with joy and laughter,
and it became obvious why Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra has the reputation of excellence it does.
jamesannphotographysymphony01jamesannphotographysymphony02I mentioned community, and that is one of the neatest parts about this symphony,
If you notice their name isn’t THE Lincoln Symphony Orchestra,
it is Lincoln’S Symphony Orchestra.
Because, they belong and give back to Lincoln.

They lowered their ticket prices and moved to a larger venue to serve more.
They have two family concerts a year and partner with LPS’ Family Literacy program
providing, so far, over 650 complementary tickets
to make sure everyone has access to these events.
jamesannphotographysymphony04They partner with The American Legion Post 3 here in Lincoln to play Taps at veterans funeral services.
jamesannphotographysymphony05 They have LSO’s annual Young People’s Concerts in which nearly 5,000 fourth and fifth graders attend a one-hour concert at the Lied Center for Performing Arts in Lincoln. Teachers are provided with lesson plans to incorporate into their classroom curriculum in the months before the event. In many cases, these students’ experiences with Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra are the first opportunity they have to listen to a live symphony orchestra.
jamesannphotographysymphony06And, did I mention how much fun they were?
LSO-089There are several shows left this season with tickets still available!
So, when you make to one, be sure to come visit me at intermission!
